Youth Voter Engagement
Bringing voter registration awareness to youth
Here at Vital Votes, we aim to get nonvoters information on registration and their ballot. We also want to raise awareness of the poor turnout of young voters and help more get registered and learn about voting. It is no secret that young Americans between the ages of 18-29 are the lowest voting demographic in this country. We hope to change that.

STATISTICS
In the 2018 midterm elections, only 35% of Americans ages 18-29 were certain they were going to vote
Internationally, the United States has some of the lowest voter turnout, ranking 26th out of 32 countries
Millennials are now as large of a political force as Baby Boomers, making up 31% of the overall electorate, but they continue to have the lowest voter turnout of any age demographic
Agenda
WHY IT'S A PROBLEM
The policies and campaigns being run today are on issues that directly affect YOU:
-
College Debt
-
The environment
-
Minimum wage
-
Immigration
-
The employment market
Young people are some of the least engaged politically, despite having arguably the most at stake. This needs to change. A collective youth vote has the power to change the outcome of any election, and our mission is to help facilitate this.
